Latest News

  • Second Life Mentor applications have been closed since June 08 time.
  • In July 2008, I posted about the TSL Volunteer Program and status of members, you can view that here. And check out my previous update post about applications – update 1, here.
  • There has been no news of when applications will open again for new mentors.
  • TSL Mentors 2.0 members have been dropping at a alarming rate and they can’t access the TG Orientation Island or TG Help Islands. There have been no TSL Mentor meetings or group notices or updates on the TSL-VTeam blog.
  • In March 2008, there were 260 TSL Mentors and today there are 219 TSL Mentors.
  • I’ve been told, that there used to be over 36-37K SL Mentors on the MG and now there is 18K of SL Mentors.

=============================================================

Teens and Adults can’t sign up to join the volunteer program because it pops up with this message:

Volunteer Info

In our continuing effort to make the Second Life Volunteer program the finest in Second Life, we have adopted new processing steps for Apprentice mentors to advance from Apprentice to full Mentor. Recently, our application processing rate has dropped to accommodate these changes. Rather than let the application list grow at its present pace and force residents who desire to participate in the Volunteer program to wait weeks if not months to hear from us, we have decided to stop accepting applications until we have processed the list of residents currently in the pipeline. Thank you for your patience.

The Second Life Volunteer Team
